Nikolai was born in America to Scottish parents, he had a tough time fitting in when he was younger as he was shy and didn't want people to be scared by the fact he is a werefox. When he was in high school, he started to become more open and made some friends who had a lot of similar interests as him.
Nikolai graduated high school with his friends and he went to college and graduated with them, they made a gaming developing company that is successful, critically acclaimed and well known. Nikolai works there as a beta tester, but Nikolai finds this job somewhat stressful, since he has to spend a lot of time playing the games over and over and doing the same thing but differently everytime just to see if there are gamebreaking or serious bugs, thus stressing him out sometimes. But he still enjoys his job since his job is his hobby, playing games.
At one point, he met Jadeite, the two got married soon after. But its unknown how they met.
He is a werefox, meaning that he transforms on a full moon into a werefox state, thus making him violent, no control over himself, and powerful. Thus, he locks himself in the basement chained until morning so he won't hurt anyone.
Nikolai has a sense of humor and he is a nice guy, though he tends to get stressed out and mad easily and he gets into fits of rage over small reasons, but rarely gets mad at Jadeite as he doesn't want to get mad at her. Same goes with his friends, but he tends to get frustrated with them sometimes. It's rumored that he has Intermittent Explosive Disorder, a disorder that is classified by episodes of outbursts.
He is a dark orange fox, who wears glasses and has brown-dyed hair. He wears a black turtle-neck sweater and tan pants. He seems to have a lot of pairs of these clothes. Likely in case they get torn when he transforms into a werefox.
- He originally was gray and had a different outfit style, but his creator thought the gray color was bland, and the clothing wasn't fitting.
- His turtle neck is a reference to Steve Jobs.
